Vintage or 2nd hand?

Wat mij de laatste tijd opvalt is dat het woord Vintage veel wordt gebruikt op straat, ik heb dit eens na gezocht en ik ben er achter gekomen dat Vintage niet zo maar een woord is die ten pas en ten onpas gebruikt kan worden. Cecile Narinx schreef in haar boek namelijk het volgende, "Vintage betekend letterlijk: een goede wijnjaar, maar in kleding termen komt het er op neer op uitzonderlijke stukken, veelal van echte modehuizen, die hun waarde behouden hebben. Sterker nog: in enkele gevallen is Vintage even duur of duurder dan nieuwe kleding. Kortom Vintage is uniek. 

2e hands kleren, muffe, zweetzure lappen uit grootmoeders kast is het eigenlijk niks minder dan vieze ouwe troep" . Daar ben ik het natuurlijk niet helemaal mee eens, want 2e hands kleren zijn wel muf maar zeker niet vieze ouwe troep. Tegenwoordig kopen kleding winkels de kleding op en laten ze grondig reinigen, ook heb ik na vraag gedaan bij een aantal 2e hands kleding winkels in Amsterdam en waar ik ben geweest die laten de kleding allemaal reinigen en sommige winkels toveren de kleding stukken om tot hippe jurkjes of blouses zodat ze nog unieker zijn. Natuurlijk moet iedereen voor zich weten of je 2e hands Vintage noemt of niet, want ook al koop je het van een ander voor jou kan het natuurlijk uniek zijn en de 2e hands winkels zijn natuulijk hartstikke slim en vragen er als nog veel geld voor. Ik hou het lekker bij 2e hands want in mijn ogen is dat het ook en grof geld betaal ik er ook niet voor dat is juist het hele idee er van.
